MECOM GROUP PLC

Decision regarding the Dutch Competition Authority

On 27 September 2012 The Board of Mecom Group plc ("Mecom") announced that the District Court of Rotterdam (the "Court") had reduced the fine previously imposed by the Dutch Competition Authority (the "NMa") on Mecom's Dutch subsidiary, Koninklijke Wegener N.V. ("Wegener") to €2.2 million.

The formal deadline to appeal the Court's judgment expired on 8 November 2012.  Wegener has, however, concluded that it requires further time (currently expected to be up to 4 weeks) to decide whether or not to challenge the judgment. Wegener has therefore requested a further period in which to consider its position and understands that the NMa has taken an identical step in respect of its own right of appeal.

A further announcement will be made in due course.
