In response to the increasing strain that COVID-19 is putting on NHS hospitals, Medica is working in collaboration with Radiology Departments to respond to the challenges ahead. We have already taken measures to safeguard the resilience of our Routine and NightHawk services and are working on adapting these services to best meet evolving needs, particularly in the areas of CT Chest and Chest X Rays.

Given the scale of the challenge we have responded by leveraging our network of reporting capabilities deployed in our reporter's homes across the UK to support our clients at this critical time.

If you are a Medica client, we may be able to assist your continuity of service by facilitating home reporting of your work, by your staff, on our infrastructure during 9-5 weekday NHS contracted hours. This 'pass through' service is being made available free of charge for as long as it is possible for us to do so.

Where we have the technical and administrative capacity, we will facilitate the supply of routine work from your hospital to any of your radiologists/reporting radiographers who are already Medica reporters. By harnessing our expertise in remote reporting, our core support teams and the technical platform provided in partnership with our PACS supplier, Insignia Medical Systems, we aim to enable our clients' reporters to continue to be productive if they are required to self-isolate due to COVID-19.

If this service may be of use to your department and you are a Medica client please get in touch via NHSReporting@medicagroup.co.uk.
