"Medical Innovation & Diagnostics" - start-ups bring research results into clinical practice rapidly

London/Dresden -- Start-ups are the speedboats of the modern economy - they quickly put new research findings into practice. For this international networks are indispensable. This is especially true for the biotechnology sector. Today, the transCampus network - founded in 2015 by King's College London and the Excellence University TU Dresden - presents itself at the network meeting "Medical Innovation & Diagnostics" in London. The meeting was initiated by the Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS) and its partners. "We are showing that Saxony is leading in biotechnology and has excellent international networks with renowned partners", says Dr. Peter Homilius, head of the Strategy/Branches department at the WFS.

transCampus research alliance strengthens international cooperation

Launched in 2015 as a research alliance in medicine and biotechnology and later complemented by the fields of communications technology and materials research, transCampus has developed into a hub and network node of the renowned universities King's College London and TU Dresden. "This is an ideal environment for company founders," says Andreas Lippert, head of Acquisition/Settlements department at the WFS. "The close international cooperation not only makes new research projects possible. It also accelerates the transfer of research results to industry and increases the international visibility of both locations. We also want to use this to attract even more investors to Saxony," says Lippert.
