Medifast, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was USD 394.189 million compared to USD 219.999 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 61.434 million compared to USD 28.099 million a year ago. Net income was USD 46.963 million compared to USD 21.935 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 4 compared to USD 1.86 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 3.96 compared to USD 1.86 a year ago. For the half year, sales was USD 734.858 million compared to USD 398.460 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 114.233 million compared to USD 51.632 million a year ago. Net income was USD 88.026 million compared to USD 40.412 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 7.48 compared to USD 3.43 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 7.42 compared to USD 3.42 a year ago.
