From October 1, 2025, he will take over the Board of Management position for Integrity, Governance and Sustainability, which is currently held by Renata Jungo Brüngger, as Mercedes-Benz announced on Wednesday. The 63-year-old Swiss national will then retire after almost ten years at Mercedes. Before his move, Schick is to complete the spin-off of Conti's automotive supplier business. The 52-year-old only joined from Mercedes-Benz in May 2023 and was initially responsible for Integrity and Legal Affairs on the Conti Board of Management, and has also been responsible for Finance since July. At Mercedes-Benz, he was most recently Head of Finance for China.
Two other board members will be leaving the Stuttgart-based car manufacturer next year for reasons of age: Sabine Kohleisen (60), Head of Human Resources, will be replaced on May 1, 2025 by Britta Seeger, who is already on the Board of Management but is responsible for Sales. Mathias Geisen, who currently manages the van business, is to become the new Chief Sales Officer on March 1. Hubertus Troska (64) will hand over his position as China Board Member to Oliver Thöne, who is still responsible for product strategy, on February 1. However, until his retirement at the end of July, Troska will continue to devote himself to "the complex transformation of the business system" in China, the largest market for Mercedes-Benz.
