COSTA MESA, Calif. (AP) _ MeridianLink Inc. (MLNK) on Tuesday reported second-quarter net income of $2.2 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.

On a per-share basis, the Costa Mesa, California-based company said it had profit of 3 cents. Earnings, adjusted for stock option expense and costs related to mergers and acquisitions, came to 9 cents per share.

The results met Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was also for earnings of 9 cents per share.

The provider of cloud-based software services for financial institutions posted revenue of $73 million in the period, which topped Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $72.8 million.

For the current quarter ending in October, MeridianLink said it expects revenue in the range of $73 million to $75 million.

The company expects full-year revenue in the range of $289 million to $293 million.
