Chen Jianguang Investigates and Directs Work at MCC Eco-Environmental Protection Group

　　On March 11, Chen Jianguang, Deputy General Manager and a member of the Leading Party Group of the China Minmetals, Chairman of MCC and China MCC, and Secretary of the CPC Committee of MCC, investigated and directed work at MCC Eco-Environmental Protection Group (the group). The leaders of the group were convened to make work reports. Chen Jianguang recognized their achievements in integrating water resources, and put forward four specific requirements on the expansion of the ecological and environmental protection industry.

　　First, the employees are required to define political stances and implement Xi Jinping's thought of ecological civilization and the major decisions and deployments of the Party Central Committee on pollution prevention and control. The group should assume the political responsibility to carry out a thorough study and implementation of Xi Jinping's thought of ecological civilization, and focus on the ecological and environmental protection industry to build a "beautiful China". We should take the establishment of the eco-environmental protection group as a foothold to implement the major decisions and plans of the CPC Central Committee, explore a new path of high-quality development with ecological priority and green development as the orientation, and strive to write a new chapter of ecological and environmental protection in the new era with pride.

　　Second, the group is required to maintain the original aspiration and strive to be a leader in the ecological and environmental protection industry. The group should implement the corporate "14th Five-year" plan, and strive to become one of the "top ten sewage treatment enterprises". To this end, it needs to gather strength, inspire morale and stimulate the entrepreneurial enthusiasm of employees. The group should plan the future multi-format development path. With water affairs as the starting point, the group has expanded the scope of the ecological and environmental protection business and gradually occupied the market of environmental protection industries such as soil remediation, and tailings treatment.

　　Third, the group is required to integrate internal and external resources to enhance its core competence. The group should gather the superior resources of technological research and development of MCC subsidiaries, and accelerate the transformation of technological innovation achievements guided by the market. Focusing on projects, the group should integrate market resources through acquisition, equity participation, and other ways to establish and improve a cooperation mechanism. Through innovation and exploration of operation and management modes, the group should coordinate technical cooperation in the ecological and environmental protection industry and high-end market cultivation, to develop into an ecological and environmental protection group focusing on the main business with moderately diversified development.

　　Fourth, the group is required to promote party building and exercise full and rigorous governance over the Party. Major leaders should improve their leadership, firmly guard the bottom line of politics, professionalism, and integrity, and ensure high-quality group development through high-quality Party building.
