　　On December 30, Chen Jianguang, deputy general manager and member of the Leading Party Group of China Minmetals Corporation and chairman of China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC), paid an official visit to Ji'nan in Shandong and met Zhou Naixiang, deputy secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Shandong Provincial Committee and governor of the People's Government of Shandong Province. Both parties had an in-depth discussion concerning improving cooperation fields and levels.

　　Zhou Naixiang extended a warm welcome to Chen Jianguang and his group and expressed sincere thanks to MCC for its long-term contributions to Shandong's economic and social development. He said that as the national team of metallurgical construction, the major force of capital construction, and the pacemaker in the emerging industry, MCC has long engaged in regional market development and construction in Shandong, achieving remarkable development results and demonstrating its powerful strength and responsibility. Located in the eastern coast, Shandong boasts a strong economic strength, an advantageous location, a solid industrial foundation, an outstanding innovation advantage, and a favorable investment environment. The cooperation between MCC and Shandong manifests tremendous potential and space. Zhou hoped that on the basis of good cooperation in the early stage, both parties will further strengthen practical cooperation in the fields such as ferrous metallurgy, urban renewal, environmental protection, and prefabricated building, ultimately achieving higher-level mutual benefits and win-win results. He also hoped that MCC's more industry headquarters, regional headquarters, and functional agencies to settle in Shandong and stressed that the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Shandong Province will provide all service guarantees, offer high-quality services, and create a favorable environment, as always.

　　Chen Jianguang extended gratitude to the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Shandong Province for their long-term trust and support to MCC and briefed on MCC's development. Chen said, as one of the eight central construction enterprises, MCC enjoys a long history as it was the earliest steel manufacturer after the founding of the People's Republic of China. MCC has undertaken the planning, survey, design, and construction of major large- and-medium-sized steel enterprises in China. In recent years, by virtue of its superb technology in ferrous metallurgy, MCC has succeeded in transformation and upgrading and realized outstanding achievements in transportation construction, high-end house building, municipal works, environmental protection, and theme parks. Thanks to the strong support from the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and the People's Government of Shandong Province, MCC has thrived in growth in Shandong, contributed to the registration of more than 20 legal person institutions like MCC Road & Bridge Construction Co., Ltd. in Shandong, and succeeded in implementing a number of major projects such as Linyi international land port project, Luokou security housing project in Ji'nan, and Linyi extra-fine steel project, winning wide recognition from all sectors of society. Chen hoped that both sides will further deepen the government-enterprise cooperation to achieve win-win benefits and long-term development. MCC will continue to participate in Shandong's infrastructure construction by inputting strength and contribute to the province's high-quality construction during the 14th Five-year Plan period.
