Metallurgical of China : Chen Jianguang Meets with Vice Mayor Sui Zhenjiang of Beijing

　　On January 29, Chen Jianguang, Deputy General Manager and a member of the Leading Party Group of the China Minmetals, Chairman of MCC and China MCC, and Secretary of the CPC Committee of MCC, paid a visit to Sui Zhenjiang, Vice Mayor of Beijing, Secretary of the Party Working Committee and Director of the Management Committee of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center (Beijing MC). They conducted in-depth exchanges on further deepening government-enterprise cooperation.

　　Chen Jianguang extended his gratitude to the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality for their long-term care and support to MCC and briefed on MCC's development. Chen said, as one of the eight central construction enterprises, MCC enjoys a long history and has undertaken the planning, survey, design, and construction of major large- and medium-sized steel enterprises in China. In recent years, by virtue of its superb technology in ferrous metallurgy, MCC always adheres to the path to high-tech and high-quality development, aiming to make itself the national team of metallurgical construction, the main force of infrastructure construction, and the front runner of emerging industries. MCC has succeeded in transformation and upgrading and realized outstanding achievements in transportation construction, high-end house building, municipal works, environmental protection, and theme parks. In 2021, MCC hit record highs in the number of new contracts signed, operating revenue and total profit , achieving a good start of the 14th Five-Year Plan.

　　Chen said that with 13 secondary companies in Beijing, MCC has completed a series of quality projects including the National Indoor Stadium, National Sliding Centre, Universal Beijing Resort, Sunrise Kempinski Hotel Beijing, and staff relocation housing of Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, which have been widely concerned and praised by all walks of life. The CPC Beijing Municipal Committee and the People's Government of Beijing are making great efforts to develop the supporting city facilities in the Beijing MC in Tongzhou, and have launched a large number of high-quality projects, forming a new pattern in which "the main center and sub-center boost each other, with main center as the mainstay and sub-center as the supplement". MCC will continue to leverage its advantages in investment, financing, building, design, construction and other aspects of the whole industry chain, actively participate in the construction of key projects of the governments of Beijing and Tongzhou District, and contribute to the development of Beijing and Beijing MC as a central enterprise.

　　Sui Zhenjiang extended a warm welcome to Chen Jianguang and his party, thanked MCC for its contributions to Beijing's economic and social development, and briefly introduced the development of Beijing MC. He said that the planning and construction of the Beijing MC is a major decision made by the CPC Central Committee. It will help adjust the spatial pattern of Beijing, address urban maladies, and expand new space for development. It will also promote the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development, and optimize the development model of densely populated areas. With the purpose of improving the "quality of Beijing MC", Tongzhou District has adhered to innovation-driven development, improved city management, and promoted green development, making itself more harmonious and livable. It has undertaken the non-capital functions of Beijing, led the integrated development of surrounding areas, and forged a high-quality model for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development and a national demonstration zone for green development. MCC is expected to leverage its advantages in prefabricated steel structures, new energy and new materials, green buildings, low-carbon economy and environmental protection, strengthen the supporting role of technology R&D in the industry, and launch more quality projects in Beijing, so as to build Beijing into a harmonious, livable and eco-friendly capital. MCC is also expected to promote its scientific research achievements in the Beijing MC, and jointly contribute to the future development of Beijing.
