　　On the morning of October 22, the Party Committee of MCC held a special lecture on learning and implementing the spirit of the "July 1" speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping and invited Dong Zhenhua, Deputy Director of the Philosophy Teaching and Research Department of the Party School of the Central Committee of CPC (National Academy of Governance), to deliver a lecture. Zhang Mengxing, Deputy Party Secretary of MCC and China MCC and President of China MCC, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

　　Dong Zhenhua, with the theme of "in-depth study and implementation of general secretary Xi Jinping's important speech in celebrating the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China" and "the Marxist standpoint and method contained in Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era", thoroughly interpreted the fundamental requirements of "taking history as a mirror and creating the future (Nine Needs). He profoundly analyzed three aspects, namely, the Marxist standpoint and method, the fundamental people-centered political position, the basic viewpoint and method of dialectical materialism and historical materialism that are found in Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era.

　　Zhang Mengxing stressed that we should study and implement the spirit of general secretary Xi Jinping's "July 1" important speech as a major political task. The Party organizations at all levels should adhere to the deep learning and thorough understanding of the speech, thoroughly understand the spiritual essence and guide the Party members, cadres, and masses to grasp the significance, connotation, core and practical requirements of the speech. We should earnestly integrate our thoughts and actions into the spirit of the speech. We should have various related activities in different forms and create a good atmosphere for learning and implementing the spirit of the speech. We should be aware of the reality, focus on implementation, continue to do a good job in the activities of "I do practical work for the public", and combine the study and implementation of the spirit of the speech with a good start in the 14th five-year plan to ensure that the targets for this year will be met. The Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee is about to be held. Party organizations at all levels should take studying and implementing the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session as the key task of the next stage of Party history learning and education, and make sure that the Party history learning and education can grow in depth and vitality.

Members of the leading team of MCC, non-executive teams and heads of all functional departments of the headquarters attended the meeting at the main venue; members of the leading team and heads of relevant departments of each subsidiary and affiliated enterprises attended the video conference at the sub-venue.
