Combined Native Title and Land Access Agreement Secured

Metro has amalgamated Bauxite Hills and Skardon River Agreements demonstrating strong community support for the Bauxite Hills Mine;

Positive long term relationships continue to strengthen;

Project to provide vital training, employment and business opportunities for the Ankamuthi People with opportunities commencing immediately;

Mining benefits for the life of the Project to benefit a broad cross-section of the community;

Cultural Heritage Management Plan agreed to ensure management and preservation of identified Aboriginal Cultural Heritage;

Includes detailed rehabilitation plan with ongoing monitoring.

Metro Mining is pleased to announce it has executed a combined Native Title and Land Access Agreement for the Bauxite Hills Mine.

The Agreement replaces separate Agreements for the Bauxite Hills Project and the Skardon River Project. The joint Projects have been renamed The Bauxite Hills Mine.

Metro Mining CEO & Managing Director Simon Finnis says the new Agreement has been reached jointly with the Ankamuthi People, Traditional Owners and OMAC, the Trustee owner of the land.

"The combined agreement simplifies implementation of the undertakings made by all parties and will streamline administration and ongoing monitoring," Mr Finnis said.

"A Cultural Heritage Management Plan, provision of employment and training opportunities for traditional owners, business development and contracting opportunities for Ankamuthi businesses and payment of mining benefits to both the Ankamuthi People & OMAC are in place for the life of the Project.

"Metro has committed to employment and training targets and has commenced that process. Metro is also working to identify business opportunities for the Ankamuthi and other local enterprises.

"This new agreement, again, shows how committed all parties are to working together for mutual benefit,"

Mr Finnis said.
