Net income was PHP 181.77 million compared to net loss of PHP 124.47 million a year ago. The Metro Fresh N Easy, brand name, is used for its smaller scale supermarkets serving as neighborhood stores. Its department stores are operated under the brand, Metro Department Store. The Company's hypermarket retail format is operated under the brand, Super Metro. The Company's hypermarkets are a hybrid between its supermarkets and department stores, providing a broad assortment of basic everyday products. shopmetro.ph, its online platform for both supermarket and department store, allows shoppers to have their orders delivered at their doorstep. It has a total of approximately 62 stores, with a total net selling space of 249,824 square meter.
