Genefa Murphy, Tracey Mead and Sheryl Wharff of Micro Focus Each Recognized as One of CRN's 2020 Women of the Channel.

Micro Focus announced today that CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, has named three Micro Focus Employees to its esteemed 2020 Women of the Channel list: Genefa Murphy, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), Tracey Mead, Global Alliance Director and Sheryl Wharff, North America Alliance Partner Marketing Lead. Recognizing the unique strengths, vision, and achievements of a select group of women, this prestigious, annual list acknowledges channel leaders who are blazing a trail for future generations. These women are from all areas of the IT ecosystem, including technology vendors, distributors, solution providers, and other IT organizations.

CRN editorial team selects the honorees to celebrate a list of exceptional women acclaimed for their contributions to channel advocacy, growth, thought leadership, and dedication to the IT channel.

As Micro Focus' CMO, Genefa Murphy knows the importance of the channel and is committed to ensuring it remains a healthy, successful route-to-market for the business and its valued partners. Murphy has assisted top partners with business planning and building a path to profitability, ensuring they are getting the enablement necessary to be successful and the marketing support they need to ensure customers understand the value they get from the Micro Focus portfolio of solutions and the partner eco-system. Murphy has built her go-to-market strategy with partners in mind from strategic global alliance partnerships designed to accelerate transformation in shared customers, to strategic channel and distributor partnerships designed to help partners scale. Murphy sees partners as a valuable and critical extension of the Micro Focus community.

Tracey Mead has devoted more than 20 years to the channel, beginning her IT career as an inside sales representative for a national distributor and now currently serving in a senior leadership position for Micro Focus. Over the past year, Mead has successfully stabilized a relationship with a key strategic alliance partner through increased executive communication, goal re-alignment and establishing foundational trust. This laid the ground work to re-negotiate a multi-year, multi-million dollar contract and to secure a global RFP positioning the partnership for future joint revenue growth. Mead also developed and launched a key growth initiative, which has grown pipeline 200% since its inception and will create incremental growth for Micro Focus and its strategic alliance partner in the near future. This marks Mead's third receipt of this prestigious honor, as he was named a Top Power 100 woman of the Channel in 2017 and included in the Women of the Channel in 2016.

Within the past year, Sheryl Wharff's efforts centered on leading and driving Micro Focus' North American Alliances Partner Marketing pipeline to increase revenues. Through joint alliance marketing campaigns, she helped to achieve a 37% year-over-year alliance partner growth and to coordinate campaign initiatives that resulted in a strategic alliance partner delivering almost $60M in revenues. Wharff also helped roll-out Micro Focus' Americas 5-Star rated Partner Program adoption, was inducted into Marques Who's Who for creative marketing execution, and honored previously in 2013 and 2019 as a top 100 women of the channel recipient.

'CRN's 2020 Women of the Channel list recognizes an accomplished group of influential women leaders whose strategic vision and unique achievements accelerate channel growth through cultivated partnerships, innovative thought leadership, and unwavering dedication to the IT channel,' said Bob Skelley, CEO of The Channel Company. 'We are proud to honor them for their accomplishments and contributions to driving channel success.'

'It is an amazing feat to have three women from the same organization included and recognized by CRN as Women of the Channel honorees,' said Mike O'Neil, SVP Global Alliances and Channels at Micro Focus. 'The channel is, and will continue to be, an integral piece of Micro Focus' business. Having three women included in this year's list speaks to the influential work these women contribute to building our channel and the caliber of program Micro Focus has built.'

The 2020 Women of the Channel list will be featured in CRN Magazine on June 8 and online at www.CRN.com/WOTC.
