Starts Construction of Solar Power Plant in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka First step in renewable energy power plants aimed at realizing a carbon-free society

　Major telecommunications construction company MIRAIT ONE Corporation (head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; President and Chief Executive Officer: Toshiki Nakayama; "MIRAIT ONE") will construct a solar power plant in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka from September 2022 to February 2023, and plans to bring the plant fully online (start of power generation) in March 2023.

MIRAIT One has positioned the four areas of "urban development and regional development/ corporate DX and GX business," "green power generation business," "software business" and "global business" as future growth areas and redefined them as "Mirai Domains" in addition to proceeding with business restructuring to make the domains core businesses since 2022. The green power generation business promotes the realization of a carbon free society (GX) utilizing the strengths previously developed in electrical construction, etc.

In the construction of the solar power plant in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka, MIRAIT One will be the operator of the green power generation business, handing all aspects from securing land to construction of power generation facilities and sale thereof, and retail of electric power.

In response to corporate users' recent heightened needs for further decarbonization, the company is working in the green power generation business to expand construction projects with the same approach as in Fujinomiya City, and aims to have sales of 10 billion yen or more in FY2026 in the power plant construction and sale business and the PPA business (electric power selling business).

A Shinto ground-breaking ceremony was conducted for the construction of the solar power generation facilities in Fujinomiya, Shizuoka on September 6.
