MISC Bhd. has won a contract from Petroleo Brasileiro S/A for the provision of a floating production storage and offloading facility, as well as the vessel's operation and maintenance services, at the Mero 3 oil field offshore Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The term of the charter is 22.5 years from the date of Petrobras' final acceptance of the Mero 3 FPSO, which is expected to commence operation in the first half of 2024, MISC said Monday.

MISC, the shipping arm of state-owned oil company Petroliam Nasional Bhd., said the contract is expected to contribute positively to earnings in 2020.
