Mitsubishi Materials Corporation was certified as a Health & Productivity Management Organization 2022 (Large Enterprise Category) under the Certified Health & Productivity Management Organizations Recognition Program as selected by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the Nippon Kenko Kaigi.

The Certified Health & Productivity Management Organizations Recognition Program is a program that recognizes outstanding enterprises engaging in efforts for health and productivity management based on initiatives for overcoming health-related challenges in communities or for promoting health-conscious activities led by the Nippon Kenko Kaigi.

We have been carrying out initiatives to address employees' health issues from various perspectives, such as ensuring provision of detailed health guidance by occupational health staff, introducing a centralized management system for health management data, and promoting mental health-related measures including interviews with clinical psychologists.
In 2020, based on the concept that employee health promotion and vitality improvement not only brings happiness and a fulfilling corporate life to employees but also leads to the improvement of corporate value, we established the Mitsubishi Materials Group Health and Productivity Management Declaration. Starting in April 2021, as group-wide activities, we have cooperated with the Mitsubishi Materials Health Insurance Society to implement the following measures to promote the mental and physical health of employees and their families.

  • Driving the development of a health promotion environment, including use of health promotion support services utilizing ICT and internal provision of health-related information
  • Enhancement of mental health measures such as implementation of questionnaire surveys on mental and physical health conditions, in addition to provision of self-care, new employee, and other various types of training

We will continue improving health and productivity management activities, further improve employees' vitality and productivity, and invigorate organizations based on the concept of our code of conduct: [Safety First] We are committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all our stakeholders.
