Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. executed a final agreement to acquire Operations for the manufacture, development, and sale of photomask pellicles and Asahi Kasei EMS Co.,Ltd from Asahi Kasei Corporation for ¥7400 million.

Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (TSE:4183) executed a final agreement to acquire Operations for the manufacture, development, and sale of photomask pellicles and Asahi Kasei EMS Co.,Ltd from Asahi Kasei Corporation (TSE:3407) for ¥7400 million on May 27, 2022. The business have a net sales of ¥4,351 million. This Separation is conditional upon receipt of necessary regulatory clearances, approvals, etc., based on competition laws, etc., in Korea and Taiwan.

Transaction is expected to be closed on July 1, 2023.
