Moderna's incoming chief financial officer will receive an annual base salary of $750,000, according to a regulatory filing.

The Cambridge, Mass.-based biotechnology company says James Mock will start as its chief financial officer, effective Sept. 6.

Along with the salary, Mr. Mock will be eligible for a yearly cash bonus with a target value of 90% of his annual pay, Moderna says.

He will also be eligible to receive a one-time signing bonus of $1 million and a new-hire equity award valued at $6 million, the filing says.

In May, Moderna abruptly ousted then-CFO Jorge Gomez because of an internal investigation into financial reporting matters at his prior employer, Dentsply Sirona.
