July 29 (Reuters) - The United States has administered 344,071,595 doses of COVID-19 vaccines in the country as of Thursday morning and distributed 397,464,625 doses, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said.

Those figures are up from the 343,361,524 vaccine doses the CDC said had been administered by July 28 out of 395,974,515 doses delivered.

The agency said 189,945,907 people had received at least one dose while 163,868,916 people are fully vaccinated as of Thursday.

The CDC tally includes two-dose vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech , as well as Johnson & Johnson's one-shot vaccine as of 6:00 a.m. ET on Thursday. (Reporting by Mrinalika Roy in Bengaluru; Editing by Krishna Chandra Elru)
