MONETA extends the "Gracious Summer" program
Prague, 1 September 2022
MONETA Money Bank is extending its Gracious Summer II offer for another three months, until the end of November this year. It is intended for clients who are in default with the repayment of financial obligations or in foreclosure. Since June this year, when Moneta launched the second season of this extraordinary debt relief action, clients have applied for waiver of penalty fees for late payments in the total amount of CZK 10 million. The bank has therefore decided to allow other interested clients to apply for debt relief.
People who are more than 90 days in default on their financial obligations and people in foreclosure can take advantage of the special offer. They have three months to pay the outstanding principal. The bank will subsequently waive penalty fees and interest on late payments. So far, 43 clients with a total debt of CZK 10 million have taken advantage of the opportunity to get rid of part of their debts or end their foreclosure under the Gracious Summer II. In the previous programme, running from last October to January this year, it was 30 people with a debt of 6 million.
The bank will waive fees and interest when the principal and contractually agreed interest are paid. Clients in default may repay the debt for up to seven years. People in foreclosure have up to three months. During this time, the bank will set new parameters for the repayment schedule, to which no additional interest or fees will be added in case of proper performance. "If interested parties meet the basic conditions, they can apply online using the form on our website. Those interested have until the end of November this year," confirmed Zuzana Filipová, MONETA's spokesperson.
The "MONETA Gracious Summer" offer applies to unsecured consumer loans for individuals and also to unsecured loans to sole traders or self-employed persons. The possibility of negotiating a repayment agreement for a period of seven years and the subsequent waiver of penalty fees does not apply to clients in insolvency.
