(CEO: Tomoshige Nakamura / headquarters: Tokyo Minato-ku/ hereinafter, Monex Asset Management) will begin offering from October 15th ON COMPASS+, a discretionary investment management service that uses a goal-based approach to meet the growing customer need for life-planning-oriented financial consulting services that encompass asset formation and asset management. Monex Asset Management will provide the discretionary investment management service ON COMPASS+, Sony Bank as an online-based bank will manage customer funds through asset management accounts, and Broad-minded Co., Ltd. (Representative Director and President: Kiyoshi Ito / headquarters: Tokyo / hereinafter, Broad-minded) will have advisors (IFA*) offer customers in-person assistance providing information and other detailed support.

*IFA ( Independent Financial Advisor) is a professional who works independently from any financial institution to offer customers asset management advice from a neutral position.

On June 7, 2021, Sony Bank and Monex Asset Management announced that they were in discussions to offer a discretionary investment management service through bank agent/financial products brokers. With the participation of Broad-minded as a bank agent/financial products broker, the three companies have created a system to offer customers discretionary investment management services.

With the retail financial industry in a period of transition, Sony Bank, Monex Asset Management and Broad-minded are pleased to work together to offer asset formation and management services in an era where life expectancy is reaching 100 years.

About ON COMPASS+ services

Broad-minded advisors will formulate asset management plans using a life-planninggoal-based approach and through the discretionary investment management service ON COMPASS+, will support customers achieve their long-term asset goals.
