Monotype announced enhancements to its Mosaic® platform, transforming how creative professionals for enterprises and agencies centralize the management of their font collections. Mosaic, Monotype’s cloud-based font discovery, collaboration and management solution, now enables users to upload non-Monotype desktop fonts within the platform, creating a more flexible and enterprise-ready way to discover, design and deploy projects across their creative networks. Teams that upload third-party inventory will experience the discovery, collaboration and user management benefits of Mosaic just as they do with Monotype’s own font inventory, without the need to switch between multiple applications. While many third-party fonts can be deployed within Mosaic, the ability to use the functionality is subject to individual third-party license agreements and any usage restrictions. Additional enhancements to Mosaic include: A desktop app for Windows and Mac systems that allows designers to install and immediately design with any font within Mosaic, including third-party fonts, with a single click of the mouse; An improved navigation experience that simplifies search, collaboration and administrative functions; Two new customizable user roles, which give enterprises greater flexibility in assigning access and editing capabilities; and An in-product Help Center designed to make it easier to navigate various features within the product.
