MOSCOW, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Moscow Exchange, Russia's largest bourse, on Wednesday said yuan-rouble trading volumes would surpass dollar-rouble trading volumes next year, as Moscow's financial market cooperation with Beijing intensifies.

Yuan-rouble trading turnover was 61 times higher in August than in December 2021, Moscow Exchange said in a presentation, with August volumes exceeding 6.9 billion roubles ($118 million).

As Western nations have shunned Russia, it has put emphasis on cooperation with China. The two nations have increased trade with one another and Russian companies have started issuing debt in yuan.
