Mothercare confirms start date for new CEO Daniel Le Vesconte

(Alliance News) - Mothercare PLC on Friday confirmed that Daniel Le Vesconte will join the Hemel Hempstead, England-based retailer as chief executive on January 16, 2023.

In November, Mothercare named Le Vesconte as its new CEO, saying he will join in January.

The company said he has held senior leadership roles for several "globally recognised" brands, including A&F Corp, Dr Martens PLC, and VF Corp.

Shares in Mothercare were up 4.9% to 7.61 pence each in London on Friday morning.

Mothercare plc owns and operates Mothercare Global Brand (MGB), a globally franchised brand for parents and young children. MGB designs, sources and supplies products across clothing and many other essential categories, including baby nursery, feedtime, bathtime and playtime, providing for the needs of parents and young children across the world. MGB is presented in stores and online through a network of global franchise partners who operate approximately 700 dedicated Mothercare stores in 36 countries around the world. Its product categories include clothing & footwear and home & travel. Its clothing product comprises clothing for infants and children from the ages of 0-8 years and up to 10 in some international markets. It also includes maternity apparel, featuring functionality and comfort. Its home and travel product category includes car seats, buggy and pushchair systems, bedding, soft furnishings and furniture, bathing products, highchairs, feeding products and baby monitors.
