(b) On April 2, 2021, Steve Armstrong, Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of MSC Industrial Direct Co., Inc. (the "Company"), notified the Company of his decision to retire. Mr. Armstrong's decision to retire is voluntary and in furtherance of the Company's management succession plan, and Mr. Armstrong will remain in his present role for an appropriate transition period. The effective date of Mr. Armstrong's resignation is subject to ongoing discussion with the Company and is expected to occur during fiscal 2022.
