Munich Re AG said Monday that it expects claims in the low three-digit-million-euro range for last month's Beirut explosion, also projecting a low triple-digit-million-euro amount for claims related to hurricanes Hanna, Isaias and Laura in July and August.

The German reinsurer previously said it expected significant insurance claims from the explosion at the port in the capital of Lebanon although it wasn't able to offer specific estimates.

Munich Re said losses related to the coronavirus pandemic "developed with reduced momentum" since the end of June when compared with the first half of the year.
