After donating 10,000 tests for the detection of COVID-19, delivered to the city of Rio de Janeiro by the Movimento União Rio (Rio United Movement), Multiplan is offering further support to the population and the government in the fight against coronavirus, now in the vaccination phase in several municipalities.

In Porto Alegre (RS), BarraShoppingSul received the vaccination campaign on February 17, 27 and 28 and indicated as a vaccination point from March 2-6. The initiative, a partnership of the supermarket located in the mall with the Municipal Government, took place in a covered parking area of over 1,000 m² inside the complex and has resulted to date in the application of 950 doses of the vaccine in the elderly over the age of 80.

In Ribeirão Preto (SP), the city announced that there will be drive-thru vaccination stations in the two Multiplan malls in the city, RibeirãoShopping and ShoppingSantaÚrsula.

In Rio de Janeiro, the commerce sector signed a cooperative agreement with the state government so that malls and supermarkets provide space for the application of the COVID-19 vaccine, also in the drive-thru model. The parking lots of the malls are available to the State Department of Health to set up the necessary structure for the campaign, keeping safe distances and following strict sanitary protocols.

Multiplan remains committed to supporting the important vaccination process of the Brazilian population, maintaining all necessary sanitary measures. The malls, which are controlled environments, also continue to ensure the dissemination of the importance of the mandatory use of masks, in addition to maintaining the protocol that includes temperature measurement in the entrances, alcohol gel at various points and enhanced personal hygiene measures.
