Multiplan Empreendimentos Imobiliarios S A : revitalizes public school in Jacarepaguá

The company joined the "Hug a School" program and, besides the remodeling, developed an environmental education project for more than 400 students

In partnership with the "Abrace uma Escola" (Hug a School) program of the Municipal Education Secretariat that opens support by private enterprise to school units, Multiplan concluded the remodeling of the Marechal Canrobert Pereira da Costa Municipal School, in Anil, Jacarepaguá. The institution, which serves students from sixth to ninth grades, is adjacent to ParkJacarepaguá, the company's newest shopping center. The renovation included general painting, replacement of the fences, revitalization of the multi-sports court and of the social area, as well as the installation of new drinking fountains and bike racks.

In addition to the remodeling, in February Multiplan ran an environmental education project for more than 400 students at the school. In partnership with Instituto Moleque Mateiro, during five days the project brought together children from 10-14 years of age and relied on eight specialized educators. The activities offered included the reactivation of Canrobert's vegetable garden, which allowed the students to plant approximately 600 seedlings of more than 50 different species, and the workshop Caminho das Águas, aimed at the understanding and debating the water cycle.

With 20 shopping centers that generate about 80,000 jobs in the country, Multiplan promotes the economic and social development in the regions in which it operates and maintains several projects focused on the communities in the environs of its projects.
