It's Carnival time in February in Brazil and everyone's smiling! And what better way to celebrate than with a fun-filled program of revelry at Multiplan's shopping centers? From face painting to costume contests and masks, there's something for everyone. Including our furry friends - there's even a special program for pets! So, if you're looking for a way to embody the Carnival spirit, head over to your nearest Multiplan shopping center for a very diversified offer of Carnival hijinks. Check out the schedules below:

In Rio de Janeiro, ParkJacarepaguá and ParkShoppingCampoGrande are running Carnival balls from Feb.18-21, at 3 p.m. The event is free of charge and will also include workshops for kids, like ArtPaper, bracelets and masks; BatucArt, musical instruments; Face Painting, and Stress Ball, where kids can create and customize their own balloons. Appointments must be made through the Multi app. Among the musical attractions are: VioLúdico, Circo do Macaco Prego, Bloco Mini Seres do Mar, and Afroreggae.

Also at ParkJacarepaguá, on Sunday Feb. 19, starting at 5 p.m., the ParCão folia event will deliver recreational activities, gift giving and a lively pet costume contest.

On Saturday Feb. 18, VillageMall will make available traditional and special versions of one of the most typical and popular dishes of Brazilian cuisine, feijoada. Some restaurants in the shopping center have prepared options of dishes to please all palates. The options range from the traditional version of the dish to a feijoada hamburger. The prices and detailed menu can be seen on the shopping center's website.

In São Paulo, ShoppingAnáliaFranco Carnival will feature a very colorful and fun-filled Instagram spaces for social network lovers to take new photos and record videos. In addition, during the weekend and the Carnival holiday, Feb. 21, the fun will double through presentations of a Carnival-style band and the ReBrincando group, which introduces its own special sound into the party to the cheers of the public. The balls will take place at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., and kids will receive a Carnival kit with serpentine for merrymaking. Children up to 12 years old who want to customize their decorations can choose between a Pierrot hat and a Columbine mask.

To complete the hijinks, a dressing room of the Corte Alegria salon will be available for face painting and Carnival hairstyling, to get the kids even more into the Carnival spirit. Pets, on the other hand, will have the option of hats and little ties to adorn their collars.

At ShoppingVilaOlímpia, on February 19 and 21, Banda Tucantaconto will be responsible for the music, with lots of partying and entertainment options for the little ones. The band will perform at 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. During the breaks, the entertainment will be provided by a DJ. In addition, the kids can have their faces painted.

In Minas Gerais, DiamondMall celebrates Carnival with two new exhibitions: Everybody Fits in the World and Brushstrokes and Ornaments. The exhibitions feature photographs, carnival costumes and flags and banners. It fun is on floor L3, free of charge, and open until March 5.

At BHShopping, Arte Folia will offer, from Feb. 18-21, workshops for making hats, noisemakers, masks, tambourines and tiaras. To participate, parents must register their children using the Multi app.

In Rio Grande do Sul, ParkShoppingCanoas will stir up the revelers on Feb. 18 and 19 with free attractions. The first day will be dedicated to puppies and there will be toys for dogs and a costume contest. The event runs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. On Sunday, children will adore the Kids Carnival Ball, with inflatable toys, with monitors, food stalls, a children's dressing room, a DJ, and a Carnival band. Tickets must be redeemed through the Multi app.

In Paraná, at ParkShoppingBarigüi, children can also participate in free workshops. In addition, on Feb.19, starting at 10 a.m., the space will put on the Carnival edition of the Sunday Funday event. The program includes biking, skateboarding and fit dance classes, workshops and activities, pet meetings, and Carnival balls.
