mutares AG (DB:MUX) signed an agreement to acquire Knorr-Bremse Railservices (Uk) Limited and Kiepe Electric Limited from Knorr-Bremse Aktiengesellschaft on August 6, 2018. The components and aftermarket business in the UK will be continued by Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems. The acquisition will be a platform investment. The businesses will be renamed shortly, in line with the strategic approach of Mutares. Knorr-Bremse Railservices (Uk) Limited and Kiepe Electric Limited had combined revenues of £75 million for the financial year 2017. The transaction is expected to complete in autumn of 2018.
