Myer Holdings Limited (ASX:MYR) is understood to be testing the market for three of its in-house labels - Sass & Bide, Marcs and David Lawrence - as it fends off challenges from billionaire retailer Solomon Lew. Myer says the brands are not for sale and that it's business as usual. But DataRoom understands suitors are already assessing a potential acquisition and an adviser will be appointed soon.

They say the move reflects Myer's focus on running the department store. Potential buyers include Sportscraft and APG & Co Pty Limited (Apparel Group), or The PAS Group Limited, which owns labels like Review Clothing.
