Energa signed a PLN 2 billion deal with Siemens and Mytilineos to build a 563 MWe net CCGT plant in Grudziadz. Construction is slated to start in 2022, with commissioning of the plant planned for 2025. The companies also signed an up to 20-year deal for maintenance of the plant.

Late August 2021, PKN Orlen said it could provide up to PLN 1.8 billion in financing for the Grudziadz project if a relevant investment decision was made and if the facility signed a capacity market agreement. Such 17-year agreement was signed in December, with supplies slated to kick off 2026 and with Energa's proceeds from the contract seen at no less than ca. PLN 3.52 billion.
