AMITYVILLE, N.Y. (AP) _ Napco Security Technologies Inc. (NSSC) on Tuesday reported a fiscal fourth-quarter loss of $1.9 million, after reporting a profit in the same period a year earlier.

The Amityville, New York-based company said it had a loss of 10 cents per share. Earnings, adjusted for asset impairment costs, were less than 1 cent on a per-share basis.

The security products and software company posted revenue of $23 million in the period.

For the year, the company reported profit of $8.5 million, or 46 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $101.4 million.

Napco shares have declined 21% since the beginning of the year. The stock has declined slightly more than 9% in the last 12 months.
