CENTENNIAL, Colo. (AP) _ National CineMedia Inc. (NCMI) on Monday reported a loss of $25.2 million in its first quarter.

On a per-share basis, the Centennial, Colorado-based company said it had a loss of 31 cents. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment costs and non-recurring costs, came to 20 cents per share.

The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of three analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 16 cents per share.

The theater advertising company posted revenue of $35.9 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Three analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $33.3 million.

For the current quarter ending in July, National CineMedia said it expects revenue in the range of $63 million to $70 million.
