The bus operator is advising customers to check the latest changes before they travel. Full details including timetables are available on the website here.

David Bradford, Managing Director for National Express Coventry, said:

"Like many other bus companies, National Express Coventry has recently suffered some unavoidable bus service disruption due to the nationwide issue of driver shortages. We are sorry to have let anybody down and we appreciate customers' patience with our drivers out on the roads.

"From 4th January we are making changes to some of our services to provide better reliability for our customers. Most of the changes are timetable amendments. First and last buses remain unchanged. Where we have had to alter some routes, there are alternative buses available.

"In the meantime I would like to remind everybody that it is mandatory to wear face coverings on all public transport, including buses, unless you're exempt, so please remember to bring one with you for your journey.

"Travelling by bus is really safe - we are still carrying out enhanced cleaning of shared surfaces; using a long-lasting antimicrobial protective coating which is certified to kill Covid - even between cleans. When we've tested the bus handrails, they showed a microbe score comparable to food preparation surfaces.

"We know how important ventilation is in the fight against Covid-19 - buses leave the depots with windows open to keep fresh air flowing through the bus. And our buses open their doors every two minutes on average."
