Statement from Badar Khan, President, National Grid US Mar 12, 2021 - 09:00 AM

'Since the start of the pandemic, there has been an increase in reported hate crimes against the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community across the US. Some of these racially motivated attacks have been surging in the areas we serve.

We stand in solidarity with our AAPI community, and firmly reject the xenophobia and displays of racism directed toward them. These hate crimes not only affect our AAPI customers, employees, and their families who live and work in these areas, but all of us who want a better world.

At National Grid, we are committed to open conversation about race and equality. We will continue to speak out against racism and work toward creating an inclusive environment for all.'
