07 Dec 2013 Wataniya Telecom assigns New Chief Marketing Officer Wataniya Telecom, the first private telecom operator in Kuwait, announced the assignment of Michael Beck Hanson as the new Chief Marketing Officer.

In his new role, Hanson will lead the development and implementation of a fully-integrated marketing strategy across the organization. He will undertake the responsibility for all of the company's marketing functions as well as product and services planning.

In his new assignment, Hansen's telecom experience will add value to the company's existing marketing capabilities in light of the competitive market environment in Kuwait.

Michael Beck Hanson joins Wataniya Telecom with more than 13 years of experience in sales along with ten years of telecom experience. He has made significant contributions in challenging markets like Serbia, Pakistan and Denmark. At Telenor Group, one of the world's largest mobile telecommunications companies with operations in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and Asia, Michael's scope of responsibility was designing products for all segments, business intelligence, research, pricing, strategy and planning. In 2012, Michael played an important role in the revenue growth and in increasing the group's market shares.
