All across the country, nurses have been working with passion, purpose, and determination to meet the challenges of COVID-19 and to improve lives. They have earned the trust of the people they serve through their unwavering commitment to patient well-being. That's why, now more than ever, on this National Nurses' Week, we want to thank those who have been our unsung heroes through it all-our dedicated nurses.

Nurses are oftentimes the first to see the patients and the ones to walk them out. They are by their patients' side day and night, meeting their needs. Every day, they put on their scrubs and deliver: from helping with crises in the ER, to easing a child's fear in an exam room, to holding a patient's hand who's in pain, nurses do it all. The ultimate affect of their efforts is a healthier, happier population.

This year, nurses have gone through unspeakable challenges while bravely caring for their patients throughout the pandemic. On this National Nurses' Week, make sure to say thank you and to show them some extra compassion. Everybody likes to feel appreciated, so shine a little light on their unwavering care and efforts. If you've had a care experience recently, or if a nurse has looked after one of your loved ones, take the time to say thanks. Share your appreciation and stories on social media (and use the hashtag #NursesWeek!). Nurses deserve recognition, and you can help give it to them; even little efforts can make all the difference to all the dedicated nurses out there. This year more than ever, show your appreciation and join in celebrating their work. This is the perfect opportunity to give them what they've earned.

From May 6 to May 12, do your part-and thank a nurse!
