• The GAS NATURAL FENOSA distribution subsidiary in the region will be the main sponsor of this event for the fourth consecutive year.

For a fourth consecutive year, the Castilla-La Mancha Film Festival (FECICAM) will have the support of Gas Natural Castilla-La Mancha, the GAS NATURAL FENOSA distribution subsidiary in the autonomous region which has renewed its commitment to the event as one of the main sponsors of its eighth edition.

Managing Director of Gas Natural Castilla-La Mancha Miguel Martín de Pinto signed the partnership agreement with the festival managers Claudia Mendoza and Alvar Vielsa to once again support this festival, which will be held in Ciudad Real from 31 March to 8 April.

One of the changes to the agreement this year is that the fourth part of 'En tu Cabeza', directed by Daniel Sánchez Árevalo and produced by GAS NATURAL FENOSA, will be shown during one of the festival's sessions under the framework of the third edition of Cinergía.

Miguel Martín de Pinto emphasised the importance of supporting initiatives that promote 'creativity, originality and talent within our cinema and our region' as part of the company's commitment to the world of cinema and to society. 'And if these cinematographic messages also place value on energy efficiency, then together we will better serve society,' he said.

Commitment to culture and cinema

GAS NATURAL FENOSA, seen as the Spanish film industry's leading sponsor according to the 2016 Millward Brown survey, is committed to collaborating with society, and especially the world of cinema, by supporting the country's main festivals and cinemas. Among others, it sponsors the Malaga Spanish Film Festival, Films in Spanish, the San Sebastian Film Festival, the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia, Madrid Premiere Week, the FEROZ® Critique Awards and the Cartagena International Film Festival, as well as over 40 screens at Cinesa cinemas throughout Spain that all bear the name of GAS NATURAL FENOSA.

Additionally, the company just launched the fourth edition of Cinergía with the shooting of a new film directed by Isabel Coixet and produced by the energy company. The initiative is intended to teach the general public about energy efficiency through cinema and to promote talent in Spain's film industry.
