--NatWest Group is planning to close operations in Poland, which houses its financial crime unit, following completion of a project in the region, the Financial Times reports citing sources.

--The bank--in which the U.K. Government has a 21.93% shareholding--employs 1,600 people in Poland, the FT reports.

--Job cuts will be made in two stages and are expected to be completed by the end of next year, FT says.

--NatWest didn't immediately respond when approached for comment by Dow Jones Newswires.
