Naver Corp.(KRX: 035420)'s Vintage.City, a platform dedicated to vintage fashion in Japan, has been selected as a Featured Finalist for the "Digital Interaction" category at the 2022 International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA). IDEA is among the most prestigious design awards in North America, hosted by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). Vintage.City was recognized for bringing the in-store experience to the online platform, offering an entirely new experience for users.

Vintage.City was launched in December 2020 as Japan's first platform dedicated to vintage fashion, which introduces offline vintage stores and items from cities all over Japan. The platform enables not just professional merchants to sell their vintage items but also C2C(Customer to customer) transactions, all the while providing an online community feature for users to exchange information on vintage fashion. The app has recorded 1 million downloads within a year and 8 months since its launch, with at least 500 vintage stores all across Japan now selling their items on Vintage.City.
Vintage.City also provides convenient tools to enable merchants to upload products and manage online stores so that they can keep the unique value that was originally offered by their offline vintage shops. In addition, a chatting feature is added to allow merchants and buyers living in different regions to communicate and interact with each other in real time. Vintage.City received positive feedback from users as the app offers an online experience that has a resemblance with the real world where users can visit stores, check out items and purchase vintage goods.
Moreover, the app provides various filters along with a search engine that allows users to easily discover the perfect store and items of their choice. A tool called Smart Editor ONE has been embedded to create a diverse set of fashion content and a user community to better share information on vintage fashion.
Vintage.City, being well-received for its design of a marketplace platform that allows offline vintage shops to showcase their brand and display their keen eye for vintage treasures, was listed as the winner for GOOD DESIGN AWARD 2021 in the application category.

Seo Myong-won, the director in charge of Vintage.City, said, "Vintage.City is the world's first community-based commerce platform for vintage items. We have started from Japan, but we are aiming higher to become a platform offering vintage items from all over the world by bringing global vintage stores together with a user-friendly design in place."
