The letting of NCC's Kineum project in Gothenburg, which has been developed together with Platzer Fastigheter, has reached a milestone. This means that ownership can be transferred to Platzer in the fourth quarter of 2022.

As communicated earlier, NCC is developing the Kineum project, in Gothenburg's Gårda district, in collaboration with Platzer Fastigheter. The development is being conducted by a company that is owned 50/50 by the parties, with Platzer set to acquire NCC's share on completion. The project has now achieved a letting rate that means that an important condition of the agreement has been met and that ownership can be transferred to Platzer in the fourth quarter of 2022.

The project comprises approximately 42,000 square meters in an existing building, as well as the new construction of a 27-story tall building, with an exciting design, that will contain offices, a hotel, meeting spaces and services. The framework and the façades of all stories will be fitted within a few weeks.

"It is very satisfying that we have let a large proportion of the project and have thus achieved a key milestone in the development of our joint project with Platzer. With its 27 stories, Kineum in Gårda will be an obvious landmark in the city and we are looking forward to completing this development project," says Joachim Holmberg, Head of NCC Property Development.

Among others, ESS Group has already signed a lease to establish a unique, new hotel concept comprising approximately 230 hotel rooms, with the aim of creating a dynamic and attractive destination for visitor experiences and meetings. The lease is for 20 years and covers approximately 15,000 square meters. NCC's Gothenburg office and several other contracted tenants will also be accommodated in the newly constructed building.
