For more than a year, the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our everyday lives. While that impact has lessened in many countries, some of our NCR communities in many parts of the world are still struggling with spiking infections and scarce medical resources, including Brazil, Colombia, India, Philippines, and Turkey.

As always, taking care of our employees is NCR's top priority. The Executive Leadership Team, NCR Covid-19 Task Force and the NCR Foundation have worked to provide help and resources to support our colleagues and their communities.

Supporting our employees with real-time benefits

We are monitoring each country to enhance and adjust NCR healthcare benefits as necessary.

For example, our India employees are covered under a new policy that includes additional medical reimbursement options, vaccine reimbursements and group sessions with medical professionals. Our Human Resources team and COVID 19 Taskforce is closely engaged with our site leaders around the world and prepared to mobilize and adjust quickly in response to pandemic levels and the needs of our employees.

Addressing severe shortages of oxygen via NCR Foundation partnership with UNICEF

Through the NCR Foundation, we funded a new oxygen generation plant (OGP) via our UNICEF partnership, providing enough oxygen for a 500-bed hospital in India. We also funded 10,000 COVID-19 vaccines through UNICEF, targeted to front-line workers and vulnerable populations. Read more from the press release here.

We are working with COVAX, in partnership with UNICEF, to secure additional vaccines for front-line healthcare workers and vulnerable members of the population in many communities where we operate.

Also, NCR's charitable partner, MedShare, is donating medical equipment and supplies, including oxygen concentrators, ventilators, pulse oximeters and CPAP machines.

Advocating for priority access to COVID-19 vaccination for NCR's essential workers

Where applicable, we are working with state and local governments to secure priority access to COVID-19 vaccinations for NCR's essential workers. We are also investigating partnerships with hospitals to facilitate quicker access. We will keep you informed as soon as we have further information.

Supporting each other in difficult times

The NCR Foundation, which operates as a non-profit charity organization, will aggregate gifts from employees with a match up to $100,000. We will release details on this matching gift program soon.

Additionally, you can join the NCR Foundation in meeting pandemic crisis needs by considering a donation to one of our nonprofit partners:

  • UNICEF
  • UNICEF's pandemic button allows you to make a personal donation to the COVAX project. UNICEF is coordinating delivery of 2 billion vaccine doses in more than 180 countries and India is a priority due to its current crisis

  • MedShare
MedShare has two options for support:
    • Support India: MedShare is delivering medical supplies including oxygen, ventilators and other items highlighted by the government's call for assistance
    • Coronavirus: Your support funds medical supplies and equipment to help health care professionals, clinics and hospital in the U.S. and around the world as they fight to contain coronavirus

Our thoughts are with our colleagues and their families in all impacted areas.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this effort.
