Nestle Waters North America said Tuesday it plans to build a renewable energy facility at its Poland Spring bottling plant in Hollis, Maine, which will supply around 20% to 25% of the facility's current energy needs.

The proposed 10-megawatt AC (12.97-megawatt DC) renewable energy project is currently in the permit-application process and, once completed, would cover 47 acres, the company said.

The project's developer is EnterSolar, and Sevee & Maher Engineers of Cumberland, Maine, are the project's civil engineers, Nestle said.
