What is the Epic Honor Roll?

Established in 2017, the Epic Honor Roll Good Maintenance Grant Program is a recognition program based on the use of strategies, lessons learned, and best practices from Epic's experience serving well-respected healthcare organizations. The requirements include computer hardware and business continuity, benchmarks in patient experience and population health, and ease of use in collaboration across all IT areas. Epic community members in the United States are eligible for the program only after they've been live with EpicCare Ambulatory or EpicCare Inpatient for 1 year. The Epic Honor Roll committee evaluates over 50 components of each customer's instance of Epic in the following areas:

  • IT infrastructure stability and performance
  • Patient experience and MyChart
  • Interoperability and health information exchange
  • Population health and analytics
  • Clinical content and clinical programs
  • Collaboration with other organizations in the Epic community

Why should you care?

Beyond the benefit of new features and functions, your organization can also achieve a higher level of reimbursement from the program by upgrading to new versions and consistently meeting performance, backup, and restore requirements. Implementing the latest Epic version with an upgrade also helps you comply with regulatory and compliance updates.

How does NetApp help?

As Epic's highest-rated storage, NetApp® technology enables Epic customers to exceed Honor Roll requirements by consistently achieving performance benchmarks (IOPS, write cycles, random reads), while also consolidating all Epic workloads into a single 'high comfort' system with guaranteed performance.

This means that your IT teams can spend less time managing multiple infrastructure silos, and focus more on what matters most: delivering world-class patient care.
