NetApp : Jordi Botifoll has been appointed as NetApp's new Vice President for Iberia and Latin America

The appointment of an executive of Botifoll's expertise, with more than 20 years in key positions of responsibility within Cisco technology, shows the thrust of NetApp's Cloud strategy and its ability to attract the best management talent.

Botifoll's remit of the new Iberoamerica region, covering closely aligned markets including Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American countries, also highlights NetApp's commitment to the region and its growth potential.

MADRID, May 10, 2021 - NetApp, a global cloud-led, data-centric software company, has just appointed Jordi Botifoll, as the new Vice President of the newly created Iberoamerica region.

The appointment of a leader with Botifoll's experience, accumulated during his more than 20 years driving Cisco's business in different parts of the world shows the thrust of NetApp's cloud strategy at a key moment for the digital transformation of companies and organizations all over the world, and its ability to attract the best management talent inside the industry.

The creation of the new region of Iberoamerica within NetApp, whose business is now run by Botifoll, aims to take advantage of the synergies between such well-aligned markets as Spain, Portugal and Latin America, and highlights NetApp's clear commitment to the region and its growth potential in the coming years.

Jordi Botifoll is one of the most internationally successful Spanish executives. During his more than 20 years at Cisco, he has been developing and implementing the strategy of this technology giant from various positions of responsibility, such as Senior Vice President for the Americas, managing 45 different countries and territories; and before that, as Senior Vice President for EMEA South and Executive Director of CISCO for Spain and Portugal. Earlier in his career, he also held positions of responsibility for the Spanish and Portuguese market in leading ICT organizations such as Lotus, IBM and Grupo Auna, part of France Telecom.

Jordi Botifoll is recognized for his leadership style based on the promotion of innovation, the creation of high-performance multicultural teams and for his efforts to build strong relationships with business and government leaders in the different geographies where he has been working.
