NetApp, Inc. announced earnings results for the fourth quarter ended April 24, 2020. For the fourth quarter, the company announced total revenue was USD 1,401 million compared to USD 1,592 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 277 million compared to USD 370 million a year ago. Net income was USD 196 million compared to USD 396 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 0.89 compared to USD 1.62 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 0.88 compared to USD 1.59 a year ago. For the full year, total revenue was USD 5,412 million compared to USD 6,146 million a year ago. Operating income was USD 945 million compared to USD 1,221 million a year ago. Net income was USD 819 million compared to USD 1,169 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was USD 3.56 compared to USD 4.6 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was USD 3.52 compared to USD 4.51 a year ago.
NetApp, Inc. specializes in the design, manufacturing and marketing of equipment for managing and storing network data. Net sales break down by family of products and services as follows:
- product sales (52%): file, cache and storage servers, data management, content distribution and information synthesis softwares;
- support services (37.1%): consulting, maintenance, technical assistance and training services;
- cloud services (6.3%): cloud storage and data management services;
- professional services (4.6%).
