Netflix shared another short teaser trailer for its upcoming Addams Family spinoff series, Wednesday, during the opening day of its Geeked Week showcase.

The 30-second teaser released Monday gave viewers a first look at Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, the chilling Addams Family daughter. In the trailer, Wednesday -- wearing her signature black and white polka dot dress -- is seen fiddling with her iconic, jet-black pigtails before adjusting the collar of her dress.

Thing, a disembodied hand covered with stitches, also makes an appearance in the trailer of what Netflix called a "twisted new series from the mind of Tim Burton." The streaming service added that the live-action series is "coming soon."

Ortega portrays a teenage Wednesday as she navigates through high school at Nevermore Academy. She will attempt to thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town, solve a supernatural mystery involving her parents, and practice her psychic abilities in the series.

Alongside Ortega in the lead role, Wednesday also features Luis Guzman as Gomez Addams and Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams.

Christina Ricci, who played Wednesday in 1991's The Addams Family and 1993's Addams Family Values, also stars in the show along with Gwendoline Christie, Hunter Doohan, Georgie Farmer and Percy Hynes White, among others.

Smallville creators Al Gough and Miles Millar created the new series. Tim Burton directs the first four episodes and executive produces.

Netflix first announced the series in February 2021.
