VANCOUVER, March 2, 2020 /CNW/ - Network Media Group Inc. and Network Entertainment Inc. ("Network" or "the Company") are pleased to announce that its Board of Directors has appointed Network Director Ali Pejman as Chairman, effective immediately. Mr. Pejman has more than 20 years of experience as an investment banker and is currently Managing Partner at Fort Capital Partners, an investment bank specializing in mergers and acquisitions, and equity capital markets. Mr. Pejman replaces former Chairman Frank Anderson, who has resigned from the board.

"Mr. Pejman's acute understanding of capital markets, M&A and joint ventures will be critically relied upon at this time as our Company grows," said Network CFO Darren Battersby.

Mr. Pejman stated, "It's truly an exciting time for Network, with its position as a 'go to' provider for premium global content firmly established, as the appetite for premium content dramatically expands with the world's top media and tech companies launching streaming services, including Disney, YouTube, Warner Bros./HBO, Apple, NBC/Peacock, MGM/Epix, CBS and Quibi, and I am delighted to help grow an incredible company that Derik Murray and Paul Gertz have built already."

Network Founder and CEO Derik Murray added, "We are at a historic and exciting juncture in this expanding entertainment landscape, which coincides with a dynamic point in Network's history and evolution as a producer of global content. I am personally excited that Network will have the benefit of Ali's experience, leadership and vision in the financial markets, and in architecting business combinations as we forge together Network's next exciting chapter. I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank Frank Anderson for his many contributions during his two year tenure as Chairman, and join the rest of board in wishing Frank the very best in his future endeavours."

The Company has allocated 1,000,000 incentive stock options to Mr. Pejman, exercisable at $0.20 per share for a 5-year term. The stock options are subject to regulatory approval.
