Newell Brands Inc. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2022. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was USD 2,252 million compared to USD 2,787 million a year ago. Net income was USD 31 million compared to USD 190 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.07 compared to USD 0.45 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.07 compared to USD 0.44 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was USD 7,174 million compared to USD 7,784 million a year ago. Net income was USD 469 million compared to USD 476 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.13 compared to USD 1.12 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.12 compared to USD 1.11 a year ago.
